As I look back over the past year, many things have changed in my life. I was planning on slowly working toward my accounting degree with the hope of graduating sometime in 2017. However, when I received a Washington CPA Foundation scholarship my plans changed.

“What a way to end the day,” I thought. I had spent a fun evening with my friends at a house party in Seattle’s U District. Unable to find a parking spot earlier in the evening, I decided to risk parking in a church lot. Of course, that backfired and now I had to figure out how I was going to deal with this mess and still make it to my Accounting exam the next day.
